السلام عليكم و رحمةالله و بركاته

Hi everyone!

I hope you are all well!
There’s a lot happening from this weekend onwards.

As you all know Gaza, Palestine is in desperate need of everything from medical supplies and ambulances to food & water. I know many of us have big hearts and would like to contribute towards helping to alleviate the suffering our fellow human being is experiencing, and yet many of us feel, for lack of a better word, impotent, in our ability to contribute in some way.

The good news is that there are events coming up that are specifically geared for fundraising for Palestine.

There is also a lovely campaign being undertaken locally by some students, it’s listed below.

My appeal to you is, please enjoy yourself at the events, contribute generously and know that whatever you spend, will be going towards a great cause.
May God accept and reward all your sincere contributions.

Campaign:

The Medical Student Society of Wits has undertaken a ‘Baby Box Project ‘ for Raheema Moosa Hospital, aka Coronation hospital. This is a care package to give to new mothers on leaving the hospital after they have given birth. If you are interested in this then the following has to be done:
1 shoe box (men’s) covered, fill this with:
1 baby blanket,
1 babygro (0-3 months) ,
2 vests,
socks,
hat,
1 roll cottonwool,
1 tub Vaseline,
1 baby soap,
1 packet thick sanitary pads,
1 pack x20 nappies( stick on the box) and a personal note of encouragement for the mum please.

If you are interested in participating in this project contact me. No Zakaah, only Sadaqa or you can alternatively contribute funds( approx R300 per box ) if you so wish. Please forward this message. Thanks.
