السلام عليكم و رحمةالله و بركاته

This road trip begins with us leaving JHB after Fajr and has us stopping over in Colesberg.

We were just here to stay overnight but the charm of this guesthouse was not lost on me.

This place really has great reviews and I can say that it’s neat and clean and air conditioned!

Anyone looking for a stop over on a trip to Cape Town could definitely give this place a try.

The owner, Mike, is really nice and friendly and he advised us about Halaal eating places in Colesberg. There aren’t any, but we did eat at the KFC on the way out of Colesberg, which is Halaal.

We drove through to Graaff Reinet and due to it being a Friday, and looked for a masjid.

At the entrance of the town, we met a wonderful couple, Mr & Mrs Fakir.

The Jamaat Khana is run by Mr Fakir which is adjacent to his home and shop.

Our next stop was in Aberdeen, where I saw really beautiful church building. I have a love for architecture, and I simply admired the beautiful work on it.

After stopping here in Aberdeen for about an hour, we continued our journey.

The next few places we drove through was Uniondale, Joubertina & Kareedouw.

I didn’t see anything that really caught my eye as these a mainly farming communities.

We did, however, stop at the Mugg & Bean On The Move at Engen in Tsitsikamma.

Although not halaal, they do have a selection of muffins and cookies available.

We took a lovely break here and enjoyed the scenery of Tsitsikamma.

To be continued…

و عليكم السلام و رحمةالله و بركاته
