Going Home

I won a beautiful cookbook called Going Home by Sophia Lindop, published by Annake Müller Publishing.

Reading the story of Sophia’s journey intertwined with recipes learned and passed on from her grandmother, aunts, and mom, adapted with produce available in South Africa, makes one able to see, smell and taste dishes from Lebanon, in your own home.

Discovering her heritage meant travelling all the way to her family’s home in Lebanon, to learn, experience and somewhat grieve a past that she was only familiar with through recipes of dishes and memories that were created around the smell and taste these dishes evoke.
