Wow! What a weekend!
The World Hijab Day was a success if the WHD Facebook page was anything to go by.

Women from America, Mexico, England, Ghana, Mozambique, South Africa, Trinidad & Tobago, Australia, Austria and so many more countries, have taken part.

As promised, entrant number 1 to the competition on The Turquoise Scarf is below.

This is Sumaya’s experience that was forwarded by her cousin, Shequaan.

This is my cousin Sumaya.
She’s expecting and her mom encouraged her to make herself beautiful.
Her mom,aunt Mariam, encouraged her to apply some light make up.
Her remark for wearing it “I feel confident, beautiful” I will wear it for a special occasion only. I felt uncomfortable at first but I felt good when I received comments on how different I look.
