Is Your Skin Ready For Winter?

السلام عليكم و رحمةالله و بركاته

It’s been a while since I went for a full out facial, and up until recently my skin has been feeling quite rather dry.

Just before I got married in December 2015, read about my wedding here, I bought a set of products from my salon for home use.

My chosen facial products brand currently is Dermafix.

Due to having very oily skin, by using these products I have noticed that my skin has improved and it’s been somewhat less oily than usual.

The awesome thing about these products is that the bottles are perfect for home and travel use, so you don’t have an excuse to miss treating your skin wherever you may be.

The product range I’ve got includes an exfoliating scrub, facial wash, vitamin c serum, dermal repair gel, hydrating moisturizer, an eye cream for correcting dark circles and of course the all important sunscreen.

The exfoliating scrub has a blend of organic enzyme rich powders & micro -exfoliates that gets rid of dead skin cells on the surface of the skin. It doesn’t dry out my skin which is a plus for me.

The cleanser is gentle and mild enough for daily use.

The bio hydrating moisturizer is pretty much my favourite product as its hydrating without the oily feeling most other moisturizers tend to leave behind. Perfect for dehydrated skin.

The vitamin C serum was recommended to me, as is the dermal repair gel, due to the fact that I had been going for micro needling facials.

Although I’ve seen an amazing improvement on the appearance of my skin, the micro needling is quite rather painful. (This coming from someone who has a very high pain threshold!)

I’ve been a bit lazy, admittedly, in using the dark circle corrector as I’ve been repeatedly told that I don’t actually have dark circles… But for some reason when I look in the mirror, it looks like I have shadows under my eyes…perhaps I need better prescription on my contact lenses…seeing things that aren’t there perhaps…????

To finish off my skincare routine, I use the sunscreen, which is an oil free sunscreen. It also contains z-cote  which protects skin from damaging UVA rays proven to be responsible for premature signs of aging.

My skin feels soft, hydrated and Alhamdulillah, it’s continued to clear up a lot considering I’ve battled my whole life with blackheads and pimples.

I go for deep cleanse facials, bio-pure facials and the Dermafix facials, and I do micro needling every 6 -8 weeks, on rotation.

These treatments have all been recommended to me by my beauty therapist, and I haven’t regretted any of them (well.. Not much as far as micro needling goes).

I’ve upped my usage on the moisturizer and drinking more water which has helped alleviate the dryness I had been experiencing.

I can confidently say that my skin is ready to take on winter!

NB: The opinion shared by me on these products are based on my own experience in using them.

These products have not been sponsored in any way or form, and I have personally bought each item.

NB 2: Please do consult with your own beauty therapist as to the correct products suitable for you and enquire about this skincare range if you are interested in using it.
